Orange Township was named as one of the fastest growing townships in the United States in 2005. The growth of the township has led to the development of community, neighbors, and friendships. In the Fall of 2004, neighbors got together with a vision to bring together the diverse economic, racial, social and economic components of Orange Township through a celebration of Freedom. On July 4, 2009, Orange Township will celebrate its community at the 5th Annual Independence Day Celebration! The celebration includes a PARADE, and a FOUR MILE RUN. The Celebration has a tremendously positive impact on how people who live in Orange Township and its surrounding communities see and feel about this community. The excitement and goodwill it will generate is lasting. In effect, by turning a large and diverse township into a small community for just one day, the Celebration will pioneer a sense of hometown.

Local business owners realized the need for a business association that supported both the local community and the business owner. As a result, the Orange Township Business Association (OTBA) was formed in April 2005. The vision for OTBA is to bring together the small business owners and civic groups and exchange ideas, practices, and support for each other. At the same time, OTBA gives back to the community that supports the small businesses and civic groups.
